3CDaemon stores .ini files in its own directory. If installed in Program Files , Windows virtualization redirects changes. Fix: Reinstall to C:\3CDaemon . Also, right-click the EXE → Properties → Security → Give Full Control to Users or Everyone . Leo checked netstat -ano
